Important Announcement !!!

The atrocities in Mumbai have deeply impacted Brooklyn There are many people from India here who are watching the events with prayerful concern and with outrage. The takeover of a Chabad House, devoted to sustaining the faith needs of Jews who find themselves in Mumbai has shocked and outraged Chabad Chassidim and Jews in general. The lengthy history of terrorism against Israel and Jews makes any outbreak of terror against anyone resonate powerfully within the Jewish community.

Our concerns about the occupants of the Chabad House, particularly the Chief Rabbi of that Chabad House and his wife bring our concerns to a level that is almost familial.

Eric Adams, State Senator from Brooklyn who represents Crown Heights as well as the founder of 100 Blacks in Law Enforcement has called a press conference tomorrow Friday November 28 at 11:00 AM. at the corner of Kingston Avenue and Eastern Parkway in front of the Brooklyn Jewish Children's Museum. The meeting will be a time of prayer and to express our outrage at this attack on civilised humanity.

As in the past, Senator Adams has stood by all in our community in times of tribulation. Brooklyn is a microcosm of our varied world and in relative terms a peaceful enclave. Senator Adams represents and embodies this spirit of brotherhood and comes to join Brooklynites touched in any way by the outrage in Mumbai. We will be joined in anger and outrage as well as sorrow and prayer.

This is an important gathering. All should resolve to attend it.
