Islamic Hatred of The West: See It As It Is

Remember the Phelps family? They came to Brooklyn with their signs saying "God Hates Jews" and Jesus hates fags. Their subspecialty is picketing the funerals of soldiers, saying that america's war dead are divine retribution for tolerance of homosexuality.

Now Great Britain has its own headaches with Muslims who want to have a protest march in a neighbourhood that has lost a lot of people in the Afghan war. CNN reports as follows on the planned march.



"A controversial British Muslim cleric is threatening to stage a march through the town that receives the bodies of British war dead as a protest against the war in Afghanistan, drawing fury and outrage.

Anjem Choudary has accused soldiers of "murderous crimes," and said the United States and United Kingdom are seeking to "establish their own military, economic, strategic and ideological interests in the region."

British and American troops are suffering "depression" as they realize "there is no real moral or ethic (sic) reason for them to murder innocent men, women and children to fulfill their politicians (sic) agenda," the preacher says."

It is one thing to politically oppose a war. But to taunt those who have lost loved ones in such a war invites a fierce backlash. The Phelps family may be obnoxious. They may have repulsive theology. But consider the statement of an Australian imam who gets nowhere near as much press as the Phelps family. The Australian archives quoted his remarks in the aftermath of a wave of gang rapes by Muslims as follows.

In a Ramadan sermon that has outraged Muslim women leaders, Sydney-based Sheik Taj Din al-Hilali also alluded to the infamous Sydney gang rapes, suggesting the attackers were not entirely to blame.

While not specifically referring to the rapes, brutal attacks on four women for which a group of young Lebanese men received long jail sentences, Sheik Hilali said there were women who "sway suggestively" and wore make-up and immodest dress ... "and then you get a judge without mercy (rahma) and gives you 65 years".

"But the problem, but the problem all began with who?" he asked.

But have no fear. The imam has a solution to Australian women being raped by Muslim immigrants. The Australian continues.

"In the religious address on adultery to about 500 worshippers in Sydney last month, Sheik Hilali said: "If you take out uncovered meat and place it outside on the street, or in the garden or in the park, or in the backyard without a cover, and the cats come and eat it ... whose fault is it, the cats or the uncovered meat?

"The uncovered meat is the problem."

The sheik then said: "If she was in her room, in her home, in her hijab, no problem would have occurred."

America has nowhere near the level of toxic hatred by the Muslim immigrant communities that the Europeans and the British have. But there are warning signs. The Fort hood shooter loudy proclaimed his hatred of the US to anyone who would listen. It was ignored for the sake of political correctness. Five young men who attended a Virginia mosque, some of them American citizens are being charged in Pakistan with traveling there for purposes of terrorism.

Here in New York, there are people who run news stands which display hard core porn who see nothing with selling it to non Muslims and displaying it with offensive openness. I go into other stores where polaroid snapshots of jihadi relatives holding rifles and grenades overseas are on proud display behind the counter in a grocery. I have known married women who took taxi rides with Muslim drivers who propositioned them in front of their children. To some fundamentalists, the prohibition against adultery does not pertain to non Muslim women.

These people are a minority of Muslims. They commit and espouse acts of intolerance and invoke Islam. The damage they do to the Muslim majority who behave in a blameless manner may well be greater than that done to the majority among whom they live.

The Irish immigrants had among them a small minority of IRA terrorists. Indian immigrants had among them Sikh militants. El Salvadorans have had violent gang members who came to the US in the wave of immigration from El Salvador. In all of these cases, it was a minority that behaved badly and in most cases afflicted the law abiding majority.

The United States and Britain should not tolerate those who immigrate with total contempt for the culture and people in their new country. Those who are repelled by the sight of women in revealing western garb have two alternatives to turning a blind eye to immodesty. they can go back to their native countries. If the blind eye doesn't appeal to them and violence does, then they can go to prison, where there will certainly be no women to offend them.

Meanwhile, sorting out the bad apples will involve engaging immigrants themselves. I knew German immigrants who were very capable in the art of catching and interrogating Nazi spies. In this generation, there are certainly Arabs who are able and willing to do their part in fighting terrorism.

In some ways, the war on Islamic terrorism is far more up close and personal than anything with the Russians ever was. But it is still a war that can be won. America is still a magnet for immigration. If we want to keep it that way, we must defend it.
